在发电厂和电网之间起联接作用的专用导线，也就是说通过它可以将发电厂发出的电能传送到电网当中，也可以将电网上的电能传回到发电厂，因此成为“联络线”。可以连接二个电力系统、二个省际电网、二个变电站，甚至是二个配电站，充分发挥双方的发供电能力，促进资源优化配置。
