甲基橙，结构式命名是对二甲基氨基偶氮苯磺酸钠或4-((4-（二甲氨基）苯基)偶氮基)苯磺酸钠盐。1份溶于500份水中，稍溶于水而呈黄色，易溶于热水，溶液呈金黄色，几乎不溶于乙醇。主要用做酸碱滴定指示剂，也可用于印染纺织品。由对氨基苯磺酸经重氮化后与N,N-二甲基苯胺偶合而成。
