生育津贴：国家法律、法规规定对职业妇女因生育而离开工作岗位期间，给予的生活费用。有的国家又叫生育现金补助。我国生育津贴的支付方式和支付标准分两种情况：一是，在实行生育保险社会统筹的地区，支付标准按本企业上年度职工月平均工资的标准支付，期限不少于98天； 二是，在没有开展生育保险社会统筹的地区，生育津贴由本企业或单位支付，标准为女职工生育之前的基本工资和物价补贴，期限一般为98天。部分地区对晚婚、晚育的职业妇女实行适当延长生育津贴支付期限的鼓励政策。
