生物转化 指毒物经过酶催化后化学结构发生改变的代谢过程，即毒物出现了质的变化。生物转化是毒物在生物体内消除之前发生的重要事件，其典型结局是产生无毒或低毒的代谢物。因此曾将生物转化与解毒作用等同起来。但是，在不少情况下，生物转化所产生的却是毒性代谢物可导致组织损伤。此时的生物转化就称 为生物活化作用。也称为毒化作用。
