生态农业模式是一种在农业生产实践中形成的兼顾农业的经济效益、社会效益和生态效益，结构和功能优化了的农业生态系统。根据生态学的组织层次，生态农业的模式可以分为三个层次，即区域与景观布局模式、生态系统循环模式和生物多样性利用模式。在一个农业的区域和景观区中，最重要的就是平衡农业生产、生活、生态功能的整体布局。在一个通过能量和物质流动串联起来的农业生态系统中，最重要的就是保证能流、物流的畅通和物质的循环利用。
