特异多糖(specific polysaccharide) 是脂多糖的最外层,由数个至数十个低聚糖(3~5个单糖)重复单位构成的多糖链。特异多糖即革兰阴性菌的菌体抗原(O抗原),具有种特异性,因其多糖中单糖的种类、位置、排列和空间构型各不相同所致。特异多糖的缺失,细菌从光滑(smooth,S)型变为粗糙(rough,R)型。
