中国汉族民间舞。主要在元宵节表演，至少已有1000多年的历史。灯舞源于灯节，是灯的制作工艺发展到一定水平，以彩灯作道具的舞蹈形式，因灯的造型不同而有各种名称，其表演以南方见长。明、清两代己盛行灯舞，清代文献中记载比较多。灯舞主要在夜晚表演，彩灯照耀中灯、人相映情趣盎然，或通过彩灯形成不同的队形、图案，或摆成“吉祥”“天下太平”等字样，或在变化与穿插中表现各种意境。
诸多在“灯节”中表演的舞蹈形式，人们泛称之为“灯舞”。
