己学是麻尧宾教授对现代新儒学重要发展。在己学构造中,内心的“照体”由内向外的显现照明，而成为“己学”里面的“灯体”， “灯体”有“照”的功能。内心实乃是一点灵明，不过内在的灵明之所以能把外在的事物显现出来，就是由于这灵明恰似一盏灯，光照了四方，把其周围的世界照的通透无比，洞明可见。这样一种内在自性之明觉的“灯”就称为“灯体”。
