火花点火，全称“电火花点火”、“火花塞点火”，是强制点火的一种方式.利用火花塞两电极间的电弧放电原理，使可燃混合气点燃而迅速着火燃烧。在压缩行程接近终了时，由燃料和空气所组成的可燃混合气在气缸内被活塞压缩到一定的压力和温度，立即以1C〜15kV的高压电流通入装在气缸盖上的火花塞，在气缸中产生电火花,使可燃混合气着火而燃烧。
