在塑性状态下，平面应变问题中，模型的任意一点(可以想象成单元都存在着两个相交的剪切破坏面，方向跟主应力迹线的方向有关，将各点的破坏面连接起来可以得到两簇曲线，也就我们说的应力特征线，简称滑移线。 由于过塑性区内任一点均可引出两条相互正交的滑移线，从而可构成滑移线网络，它们布满于塑性区，形成滑移线场。
