温差电是一种差电现象(thermoelectric phenomena),导体中发生的热能和电能间的可逆转换现象。 两种不同导体联接成闭合回路,如果两个接点处有温度差,在回路中将产生所谓温差电动势。这样组成的回路称为温差电偶或热电偶。反过来,当电流流过上述闭合回路时,接点处将分别放出或吸收热量。这种现象称为珀尔帖效应。
