渗硼亦称为 “硼化”。一种化学 热处理工艺。将金属工件放在一定温度的含硼介质 (例如硼粉或硼铁合金粉) 中加热或电解 (用熔融 硼砂作为电解液)，产生活性硼原子渗入工件表 面，以提高表面硬度和耐磨性，并改善耐热性和耐 蚀性。渗层最表面是FeB层，硬而脆; 内层是硼化亚铁，也很硬，但韧性较好。一般要求渗层厚度 在100μm以上，主要用于模具和阀件。渗硼方法有 固体渗硼、盐浴渗硼和气体渗硼之分，以前两种方 法应用较多。
