海洋潮汐（ocean tide） 海水受潮汐力作用而产生的海洋水体的长周期波动现象。这种波动又称潮波。它在铅直方向表现为潮位升降，在水平方向表现为潮流涨落。 海洋潮汐是沿海地区的一种自然现象，古代称白天的河海涌水为“潮”，晚上的称为“汐”，合称为“潮汐”。习惯上把海面垂直方向涨落称为潮汐，而海水在水平方向的流动称为潮流。
潮汐是引起卫星测高误差的主要原因之一，它包括海洋潮汐（Ocean Tide）、负荷潮汐（Loading Wide）和固体潮汐（SolidTide）三部分，均可结合模型得到。
