法人不是具体的人，而是单位。因此，法人章其实就是单位的公章。但是由于人们在习惯上将真正的法人章称为公章，反而将法定代表人章称为法人章，在一定程度上已经约定俗成。所以将圆形的企事业单位或组织法人章简称为公章，而把方形的法定代表人章简称为法人章，只要沟通双方理解没问题即可。
