气体灭火系统启动时会向防护区喷放大量灭火气体，引起防护区空气压力瞬间升高；除此之外，火灾燃烧产生的热量也会使室内空气压力有所升高。过高的压力有可能会破坏防护区的维护结构，造成灭火失败、火势蔓延的后果。泄压口平时处于关闭状态，在气体灭火系统启动喷放，防护区压力升高到设定值后自动打开释放压力，避免防护区压力升高对防护区维护结构的破坏，泄压口是气体灭火设备重要的辅助配套装置！
泄压口面积按相应气体灭火系统设计规定计算。
