沉水植物(submerged plants )是指植物体全部位于水层下面营固着生存的大型水生植物。它们的根有时不发达或退化,植物体的各部分都可吸收水分和养料,通气组织特别发达,有利于在水中缺乏空气的情况下进行气体交换。这类植物的叶子大多为带状或丝状,如苦草、金鱼藻、狐尾藻、黑藻等。
