汤药（tāng yào），指的是用水煎服的中药。出自《史记·袁盎晁错列传》：“陛下居代时，太后尝病，三年，陛下不交睫，不解衣，汤药非陛下口所尝弗进。” 晋·葛洪《抱朴子·至理》：“夫愚夫乃不肯信汤药针艾，况深於此者乎！”据记载，汤药是伊尹发明的。 《儿女英雄传》第十九回：他老人家是早年断弦，一向便在书房下榻，直到一病垂危，我还同你父亲在那里服侍汤药，早晚不离。曹禺《雷雨》第一幕：“ 四凤装做不听见，依然滤她的汤药。”
