带状疱疹,俗称“生蛇”、 “蛇丹”、“缠腰龙”或“蜘蛛疮”，在临床上显示它是由一种水痘病毒感染引起，是常见疱疹性皮肤病。儿童初次感染时，可发生水痘，或隐性感染，此后病毒侵入感觉末端，再经过移动并持久地潜伏於脊髓后根神经节的神经元中，当发生感冒、恶性肿瘤、免疫性疾病、接受放射或化学药物治疗，人体抵抗力降低时，就会诱发带状疱疹。
