比内能，为物理学术语，又名质量内能、质量热力学能、比热力学能等，是指表示燃料所能产生的热量。物质自身内部都存有一定能量，该能量与分子运动及分子间的作用有关，该分子动能和势能的总和称为内能，用U表示，单位为焦耳（J），内能不能直接测量，而是用热力学第一定律推论来的。m（kg）的物质具有U（J）的内能，那么1 kg物质所具有的内能，即单位质量物质具有的内能称为比内能，用u表示，单位为J/kg。比内能是物质一个状态参数。
