即Book of the Dead。古代埃及从第十八王朝（约前1580）至罗马时代置于死者墓中的一种书册。当时名为《将于白昼中到来的篇章》。多为蒲纸卷(papyrusscrolls)。书以法术文句，以求死者获得死后幸福生活。内容有关于丧礼的戏曲、诗歌、祷文、咒语、神话等。有些是从棺文和金字塔文中流传下来的；有些还附有图画，最多者为“称量心脏”情况的图画。保存最好的死者书之一《阿尼蒲纸卷》(Papyrus of Ani)现存于英国不列颠博物馆。此类书册是研究埃及宗教极有价值的资料。
