正电子，又称阳电子、反电子、正子，基本粒子的一种，带正电荷，质量和电子相等，是电子的反粒子。最早是由狄拉克从理论上预言的。1932年8月2日，美国加州理工学院的安德森等人向全世界庄严宣告，他们发现了正电子。正电子的发现是利用云雾室来观测的。在云雾室中充入过饱和的乙醚气，当物质放射出正电子时，正电子穿过云雾室，在正电子运行轨道中出现液滴线，通过外加磁场测量正电子的偏转方向及半径就可以知道它的带电符号，及荷质比（带电量与质量的比值）从而确定正电子的性质。正电子的发现开辟了反物质领域的研究。
