正己酸（英文名称n-Hexanoic acid，Caproic acid）又名羊油酸，丁基乙酸（Butylaceticacide）,简称己酸。常温常压下位为无色或浅黄色的油状液体，可燃，有类似于干奶酪气味。分子式为C6H12O2,结构式为CH3CH2CH2CH2CH2COOH,微溶于水,可溶于乙醇和乙醚等有机溶剂。正己酸少量存在于部分天然油脂中，如奶油、椰子油等。
