帝王的住所 是清代皇帝驻跸山庄期间居住和处理朝政、举行庆典、召见王宫大臣及少数民族政教首领、接见外国使臣之所。位于丽正门至岫云门之间的主轴线上，共有九进庭院，以表现皇帝“身居九重”的含义。以万岁照房为界，正宫分作前朝和寝宫两部分。
