次生包裹体（secondary inclusion）是主矿物形成后，由于后期构造热事件影响使主矿物破裂产生裂隙或孔隙，后期流体介质进入这些后生裂隙和孔隙，并使主矿物产生部分溶解，之后重新结晶，并圈闭这些后来流体而形成的包裹体。
结合天然样品对比，线缺陷型次生包裹体是最常见的，也是分析中用到最多的包裹体类型。
