横剖面（transverse section），是相对于纵剖面而言的，垂直于物体走向而切割后所得到的剖面形态。一般而言，对于细长的物体或三维形状，沿着较短的方向（或垂直较长的方向）进行切割得到的剖面就是横剖面。在船舶工程中，横剖面中常用的剖面为中横剖面。
在横剖面上它看起来也是对称的。
东海陆架冰后期潮流沙脊以不对称横剖面为特征，陡坡倾向SW。
