案例方法通常是指在教学或司法审判以及科研中使用的一种方法，在现代教学中案例教学是一种非常普遍的方法，就是通过引入案例情节的方式使学生进入特定的教学需要的情节中结合案例对知识进行讲解以达到理论联系实际的教学效果。另外在司法审判中经常通过引入案例的方法对案件做出审判，法学分为成文法和不成文法，大陆法系的基本采用的是成文法，英美法系则更多的采用不成文法即采用案例审判的方法，通过先前的案例判决对在审案件进行判决。
