根鞘（root-sheath，epidermal sheath），是组成毛囊的部分，有外根鞘和内根鞘。
上皮根鞘细胞染色阳性。
目的建立毛囊外根鞘细胞的分离和培养方法。

毛干和内根鞘当到达体表时融合在一起：外根鞘仍然保持在原来的位置。
The hair shaft and inner root sheath move together as the hair grows toward the surface: the outer root sheath remains fixed in position.
