1710年六月韩德尔回到汉诺瓦宫廷 (Hanover Coour)任乐长。同年韩德尔去伦敦，1711年他的的歌剧林纳多 (Rinaldo) 在伦敦上演，后他又回到汉诺瓦去。1712年韩德尔再度到伦敦并归化英国籍，他成为伦敦最成功的义大利歌剧作曲家。
