松赤枯病是松树幼林的一种重要叶部病害，分布较广，凡松林分布地区，均有此病为害。该病主要危害幼林新叶，少数老叶也有受害，受害叶初为褐色或淡黄色棕色段斑，也有少数呈浅绿到浅灰绿色，后变淡棕红色，或棕褐色，最后呈浅灰色或暗灰色，被害严重者似火烧，提早落叶，严重影响生长。松赤枯病病原菌属半知菌类、黑盘孢目多毛孢属枯斑盘多毛孢Pestalotiapsis funerea Desm。该病主要为害马尾松、油松、黑松、华山松、云南松、湿地松、火炬松及柳杉等。
这种状况有利于二者在植物病害生物防治中协同作用的发挥，表明了两种微生物在松赤枯病生物防治中联合作用的可能性。
