木瓜水是滇西、四川、重庆、云南、贵州地区的已到夏季消暑甜点。用纱布包裹住木瓜籽，在水中不停地揉搓，直到产生黏腻的津液，再继续不停地揉搓，直到不再产生黏腻的津液为止。将混有木瓜籽津液的水放置几个小时后，木瓜水凝结，成为凉粉状的固体。此时浇上糖水即可使用。
前调： 芬芳水，冷却柑桔，蜜瓜，木瓜，菠萝， 莲花和百合。
