日本栗（学名：Castanea crenata S. et Z.）：壳斗科，栗属乔木，高可达15米，冬芽被毛，小枝暗褐色，叶长椭圆形至披针形，顶部渐尖至长渐尖，叶背被星芒状绒毛及黄或灰黄色鳞腺。雄花簇有花3-5朵；每壳斗有雌花3-5朵，坚果顶部有疏伏毛。4-6月开花，9-10月结果。 该种原产日本，中国辽宁（丹东、大连），山东（青岛），江西（庐山）及台湾均有引种。中国约于在1910年前后自朝鲜引进。 （概述图片参考资料来源：）
