旅行社责任保险，就是承保旅行社在组织旅游活动过程中因疏忽、过失造成事故所应承担的法律赔偿责任的险种，该险种的投保人为旅行社。投保后，一旦发生责任事故，将由保险公司在第一时间对无辜的受害旅客进行赔偿。旅行社责任险具有很强的社会公益性。
