方位投影分为非透视方位投影和透视方位投影。前者按变形性质又分为等角、等积和任意(包括等距离)投影;后者随视点位置不同又分为正射、外心、球面和球心投影。方位投影的特点是:在投影平面上由投影中心向各方向的方位角与实地相等。这种投影适用于区域轮廓大致为圆形的地图。
方位投影(Azimuthal Projections):以平面作为辅助投影面,使球体与平面相切或相割,将球体表面上的经纬网投影到平面上。
