《新唐书》是北宋时期宋祁、欧阳修、范镇、吕夏卿等合撰的一部记载唐朝历史的纪传体史书，属“二十四史”之一。 全书共有225卷，其中包括本纪10卷，志50卷，表15卷，列传150卷。《新唐书》前后修史历经17年，于宋仁宗嘉祐五年（公元1060年）完成。 《新唐书》在体例上第一次写出了《兵志》《选举志》，系统论述唐代府兵等军事制度和科举制度。这是我国正史体裁史书的一大开创，为以后《宋史》等所沿袭。
