新北市，台湾五大院辖市之一，位于中国台湾本岛最北端。新北全境环绕台北市，东北与基隆市为邻，东南接宜兰县、西南邻桃园县，与台北、基隆共同构成大台北都会区。其前身为台湾省台北县，2010年12月25日台北县正式改制升格为院辖市，定名为“新北市”。全市总面积2,052平方公里，约占台湾总面积的6%，总人口394.2万人（2012年），为台湾人口最多的市。2012年国民生产总值840.1亿美元，位居台湾各市县第一位。
