敬老院（geracomium），为老年人养老服务的社会福利事业组织，又称养老院。西方国家的养老院通常由地方政府或慈善机构主办，接收靠福利救济或低收入的老人。中国的敬老院是在农村实行“五保”的基础上发展起来的。
