教育收益率（The returns to education）亦称“教育报酬率”。教育成本与教育利益之比。计算方法是将教育程度不同的人终身赚取的所得收益与其接受某种教育所需支付的成本加以对比后所求出的每年收益的百分率。通常从两方面进行计算：（1）从个人角度（家庭或学生），对教育投资后所能获得的收益多少，通常用收益率表示，所求百分率即称“个人收益率”（个人报酬率）；（2）从国家和社会角度，计算国家或社会对教育投资后所能获得的利益多少，求出的百分率称“社会收益率”（社会报酬率）。
