教师进修是指在职教师为提高文化专业知识水平和教育技能而进行的学习活动。中国小学教师进修由县一级教师进修学校负责；中学教师进修由地区和省市教育学院负责。各级师范院校的函授部、夜校及电视师范学院也负责部分进修工作。有全日制、部分时间制等多种。
