教师博客是教育博客（edublog）中的一种，是各年级各学科的教师利用互联网新兴的“零壁垒”的博客（blog）技术，以文字、多媒体等方式，将自己日常的生活感悟、教学心得、教案设计、课堂实录、课件等上传发表，超越传统时空局限（课堂范畴、讲课时间等），促进教师个人隐性知识显性化，并让全社会可以共享知识和思想。博客网认为，随着教师博客的大规模普及，将在传统基于课堂教学的“教堂式教育模式”之外，催生出真正开放的“集市式教育模式”，推动人类教育事业的进步。
