撒督人 (Zadokites):指撒督的后裔.撒督显然是亚伦一系的祭祀,属以利撒家族,他反对亚比亚他(Abiathar)对所罗门的阴谋,被任命为高级祭祀,在所罗门造的圣殿供职.他的家族继承此职,直至西元前587年耶路撒冷陷落----巴比伦之囚.在第二圣殿时期撒督人又任此职,直至安条克四世的占领军把此职作为官职加以任命(约前171年).古姆兰教团不断努力恢复撒督祭祀阶级,并将自己的祭祀称为撒督人.有人说"撒督该派(sadducees)"即源于撒督人
