振州，古代地名。武德四年（公元621年）改临振郡为振州，治宁远县（治今三亚市西北）。振州领县四：宁远，延德，临川，陵水。属岭南道。天宝元年（742）改振州为延德郡。乾元元年（758）又为振州。唐末振州领宁远，延德，吉阳，临川，落屯五县。南汉时振州领二县：宁远，吉阳。宋开宝五年（972）改振州为崖州。
