挑流消能（trajectory bucket type energy dissipation）是指在泄水建筑物末端设挑流鼻坎，使水流向下游挑射，通过射流在空中的扩散、紊动和掺气作用，消除部分能量，然后跌落到离鼻坎较远的河槽中，在冲刷坑和一定的尾水深度所形成的水垫中消能。 能耗大体分三部分：急流沿固体边界的摩擦消能；射流在空中与空气摩擦、掺气、扩散消能；射流落入下游尾水中淹没紊动扩散消能。
