拔牙术是使牙齿脱离牙槽窝的一种手术。是口腔颌面外科的常见手术。牙齿拔除的主要适应证为：①因龋齿引起牙体破坏过多或根尖部病变，无法治疗或修复者；②乳牙迟脱影响恒牙萌出者；③牙周病所致牙齿明显松动，经治疗无效者。④牙齿因外伤劈裂、折断而不能治疗修复，或病牙位于骨折线上妨碍骨折愈合者；⑤反复引起冠周炎发作，或致邻牙龋坏的阻生智齿；⑥影响正常咬合、妨碍咀嚼功能或影响美观的错位牙、多生牙。
