投资担保通常意义上是指个人在向银行贷款的时候，银行为了降低风险，不直接放款给个人。需要借款人找到第三方，为借款人做信用担保。也就是需要借款人找到担保公司为其做担保。担保公司会根据银行的要求，让借款人出具相关的资质证明进行审核，最后将审核好的资料交到银行，银行复核后放款，担保公司收取相应的服务费用。
