批单亦称“批改单”或“背书”。是指为变更保险合同的内容，保险人所出立的补充书面证明。保险单出立后，在合同有效期内，保险人和被保险人均有权通过协议更改保险合同的内容。通常提出批单要求的多是被保险一方。对于变更保险合同的任何协议，如更改险别、户名、地址、运输工具的名称、保险期限、保险金额，转让保险权益等，均需保险人出立批单。批单可以是在原保险单或保险凭证上批注，也可以另外出立一张变更合同内容的单证。保险单经过批注的事项，以批单所规定内容为准。
