感温火灾探测器（简称温感）主要是利用热敏元件来探测火灾的。在火灾初始阶段，一方面有大量烟雾产生，另一方面物质在燃烧过程中释放出大量的热量，周围环境温度急剧上升。探测器中的热敏元件发生物理变化，响应异常温度、温度速率、温差，从而将温度信号转变成电信号，并进行报警处理。 感温火灾探测器一般由感温元件、电路与报警器三大部分组成。以感温元件不同分为定温式、差动式、定温差动式感温火灾报警器三种类型，感温面积一般为30～40平方米。
