微扰法是求解相对于某个初始系统具有一微小改变的系统的电磁场本征值的一种近似方法。它将待求系统看作为由某个较简单的初始系统的某个参量发生微小改变所形成的微扰系统,那么只要初始系统的本征值和场分布是已知的，则就可以利用微扰公式并将其中微扰系统的场以初始系统的场或与之相关的场来近似，从而求出待求系统本征值的近似值。
