微带线是由支在介质基片上的单一导体带构成的微波传输线。适合制作微波集成电路的平面结构传输线。与金属波导相比，其体积小、重量轻、使用频带宽、可靠性高和制造成本低等；但损耗稍大，功率容量小。60年代前期，由于微波低损耗介质材料和微波半导体器件的发展，形成了微波集成电路，使微带线得到广泛应用，相继出现了各种类型的微带线。一般用薄膜工艺制造。介质基片选用介电常数高、微波损耗低的材料。导体应具有导电率高、稳定性好、与基片的粘附性强等特点。
