彭斯 Robert Burns（1759～1796）英国诗人 。1759 年1月25日生于苏格兰艾尔郡阿洛韦镇的一个佃农家庭，1796年7月21日卒于邓弗里斯。自幼家境贫寒，未受过正规教育，靠自学获得多方面的知识。最优秀的诗歌作品产生于1785～1790年 ，收集在诗集《主要以苏格兰方言而写的诗》中。诗集体现了诗人一反当时英国诗坛的新古典主义诗风，从地方生活和民间文学中汲取营养，为诗歌创作带来了新鲜的活力，形成了他诗歌创作的基本特色。
