张自和，研究员。多年从事草原管理、草地农业和草坪的研究与教学工作，先后参加或主持部、省、国际合作及有关科研项目10余项，获国家、部、省、厅级科技进步奖4项，发表论文20余篇；参加了《草原管理学》、《草原工作手册》等8本书的编写；将俄文《草原管理手册》及80余篇文献资料译成中文并出版、发表。现任甘肃省草原生态研究所所长，兼任农业部草地农业生态系统学重点开放实验室主任，《草业科学》和《国外畜牧学－草原与牧草》杂志副主编。
